About Jennifer

Jennifer Buckman Yoga

To me, yoga is a tool to open the body, mind and soul so that we can live a more open, happy and truthful experience in life with greater clarity and purpose. Teaching as a yoga instructor and practicing hatha or vinyasa yoga is a boundless journey. There is always more to learn, more to experience and more to be excited about when you live life on a yogic path.

My passion as a yoga instructor is teaching thoughtful, embodied hatha | vinyasa yoga that will challenge you, bring you balance and calm your spirit. I invite you to take a hatha or vinyasa yoga class with me, so I may guide you through your yoga practice. Together we can bring a flow of positive energy to heal, empower, detoxify and find your true image.

Jennifer is a graduate of San Diego State University, where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. Jennifer played collegiate golf for SDSU and grew up downhill racing the mountain slopes of Lake Tahoe. She discovered how yoga improved the physical and mental aspects of her varied athletic pursuits and also offered the ability to prevent and recover more quickly from muscle fatigue and injury. Her RYT-200 certification by Yoga Alliance was completed with Yoga Tropics in San Diego, California. Jennifer’s ERYT-500 certification by Yoga Alliance was completed with Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, California, where the lineage from the late Sri T. Krishnamacharya is taught by her teachers Monique Lonner, Leslie Kaminoff, Brian Dorfman, and Rodger Cole. Her teaching style blossomed further from inspirational trainings with teachers Alyssa Runyan, Mark Jansen, Jano Galindo and Casey McBride.

Jennifer’s classes appeal to athletes of all abilities and place an emphasis on flexibility, increasing range of motion and most important connecting with the breath. Rebuild the body, rejuvenate the mind and restore the soul.
